Something Beautiful is Happening
Picture this: it’s 1975, and a bunch of nerds are gathering in garages, tinkering with circuit boards and dreaming of personal computers. Now fast-forward 50 years—we’re still the same breed of tinkerers, but instead of soldering chips, we’re training neural networks. And instead of just building faster processors, we’re teaching machines to dream.
Welcome to the most beautiful intersection you’ve never thought about: where algorithms meet aesthetics, where GPUs generate goosebumps, and where the latest transformer model might just transform your understanding of what art can be.

Here’s the revised version, combining the “Magic We’re Cooking Up” and “Bring Your Artistic AI Dreams” sections for clarity and momentum, while preserving the tone and content structure:
What (AI) Dreams May Come?
This isn’t your typical “AI will revolutionize everything” meetup. This is a space for experimentation—the beautiful, half-working, occasionally-brilliant prototypes that push boundaries and make us ask what if?
🎵 Sonic Experiments: Maybe you’re training a model on your old mixtapes. Maybe you’re mapping pulse rates to BPMs. We want the weird musical hacks that bend time and signal.
🎨 Visual Alchemy: Think projection art that reacts to your GitHub commits. Browser-history-generated canvases. StyleGANs trained on everything from stained glass to street grime. Weird is welcome.
🍽️ Computational Gastronomy: Yes, someone is building a model that outputs recipes. Yes, someone else is feeding it flavor profiles. No, we don’t know what the results will taste like—but we want to try.
⚡ Lightning Demos: Bring the thing that doesn’t quite work. The dream you’ve been poking at in Colab notebooks. The style-transfer glitch. The generative music that makes your dog bark. This is a homebrew club, not a product launch—honesty > polish.
We want to see your:
- style transfer model that only works on cats
- generative app that makes you laugh more than it should
- AI art installation that breaks if you click twice
- strange dataset you downloaded at 3AM
- idea that’s either genius or a total mess
This is the lab. Show us the sparks.
Why Venice? Why Now? Why Us?
Venice Beach has always been where the freaks and the geniuses collide. It’s where surf culture met tech culture, where street art became gallery art, where the unconventional becomes inevitable. We’re just continuing that tradition—except now our surfboards are Python notebooks and our street art is generative.
August in Venice means long days, golden light bouncing off the ocean, and that particular kind of creative energy that happens when the sun doesn’t set until after 7 PM. The KINN becomes our laboratory, our gallery, our playground. Those industrial brick walls? Perfect for projection mapping your latest StyleGAN experiments.
Our Tribe
We’re 515+ people who think in code but dream in pixels. We’re the ones who see a beautiful sunset and immediately wonder what the loss function would look like. We work at the big tech companies, sure, but we’re also the ones staying up until 3 AM training models on datasets of Byzantine mosaics just to see what happens.
This is for the people who understand that there’s profound beauty in a well-converged model, who get goosebumps when their VAE finally generates something that looks like it came from another dimension, who believe that the future of art isn’t human OR machine—it’s human AND machine, collaborating in ways we’re still discovering.
Bring Your Artistic AI Dreams (And Your Code)
We want to see your experiments:
- That style transfer model that only works on pictures of cats
- The music generation system that occasionally produces actual bangers
- The AI art installation you’ve been meaning to finish for six months
- The weird dataset you’ve been training on that nobody else would think to try
- The half-baked idea that might be genius or might be terrible (probably both)
Remember: this is a homebrew computer club, not a product demo day. We want to see the guts, the process, the happy accidents, the “it shouldn’t work but somehow it does” moments.
The Vibe Check
Date: Saturday, August 16th (because Saturday evenings in Venice are when magic happens)
Time: 6:00 PM (catch the golden hour) - whenever we’re done talking about neural networks and the meaning of beauty
Location: The KINN, 150 Horizon Ave, Venice (beat the traffic, work from the space earlier in the day)
What to bring: Your laptop, your latest experiment, your weirdest ideas, and an open mind
RSVP: Yeah, we need one—space is limited and the fire marshal is surprisingly strict about occupancy limits
The Real Talk
We’re living through a moment when machines are learning to create, when algorithms are developing aesthetic sensibilities, when the line between human and artificial creativity is getting beautifully blurred. This isn’t just about better tools or faster processors—it’s about expanding what’s possible in the realm of beauty itself.

Come for the demos, stay for the conversations that happen after the formal presentations end, when we’re all standing around with our laptops out, showing each other the weird thing we built last weekend, debating whether GPT-4 can really understand color theory, and trying to figure out if that generative music actually sounds good or if we’ve just been listening to too much AI-generated content.

All One Thing @allonethingxyz builds community infrastructure. We believe AI will change the way we live and work, providing more time and more satisfaction from community-based events. We create experiences ranging from Intergenerational Coworking, where parents and grandparents can work while kids learn and play in the same space, to free community events like Sunset Sundays, our free monthly gatherings to watch the sunset.
AI Tinkerers LA: Where the garage hackers of 2025 meet to build the future of human-machine creativity. No corporate speak, just pure experimentation and Venice Beach vibes.
