This is an opportunity to collaborate with fellow AI Tinkerers on exciting projects, learn new skills, and push the boundaries of what’s possible with AI.

This hackathon will be a “showcase” format where your team will present your project at the end of the event just like a typical Tinkerers meetup. You can also submit your project via the Tinkerers Hackathon platform for judging – winners will be announced after presentations!

• Tiny Vision Model on Edge Device: Use something like TensorFlow Lite to deploy a working microvision model on a Raspberry Pi or even a phone. Bonus: Track and iterate on your training datasets efficiently using Oxen.ai.

Wildfire Theme Project Ideas

• AI-Powered Fire Watch: Use satellite or weather data to predict wildfire risk in SoCal.
• Evacuation Readiness Chatbot: Build a local-info assistant to help families prep for emergency evacuations.
• Recovery Resource Finder: An LLM-powered tool to help people find aid, grants, and services post-wildfire. Bonus: power it with Voker.
